Great post, glad you had a chance to join in the small group. It is pretty amazing what the power of the tongue can have, and I agree with you that we can do a lot of damage with our mouth and words.
James 3 is a good reminder for us to make sure we continuously watch what we say and how we say it, great post.

I like how you said that too...the mouth being Satan's tool of the trade too often. He's had control over mine for too long now, it's such a constant struggle.

Isn't it true that the devil wears many hats. He encourages us into the lies "C'mon it won't hurt a thing. It's to spare their feelings."
Then as soon as we DO tell the lie, his hat is of the accuser "How dare you. You call yourself a Christian"
He's good at convincing then convicting isn't he?

Nice read, glad you are on board. As I read your thoughts, one thought came to mind regarding your mission trip... talking about your experience, or any experience for that matter, if told from the heart instead of the head, is a good thing. At least that is my understanding. Be humble and gracious... not boastful... to tell your story is important - others need to hear it... understand it.

I am going to stick my foot in the middle of your group...good stuff, thanks for sharing. And I think anytime you talk about what God did, it's a good thing. And I agree with Michael, heart sharing is good. The disciples did it, and look where we are. And I talk too much....thanks for the study. good stuff
